Tootsie: The Play
The one-and-only stage adaptation by Elaine Cloud Goller of the 1982 smash comedy hit starring Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange, Dabney Coleman, Terri Garr, Charles Durning and Bill Murray. This production is an Island Community Theatre exclusive - you'll see this show at no other community theater - anywhere. Anytime. It's THAT exclusive.

ICT Rehearsal House is at 1409 58th Street South in Gulfport, Florida.
The house is trimmed in shocking pink. Please, please, please park at Reed's Car Care next door, mainly to avoid shocking pink retina damage.

- Audition methods are at the discretion of the Director.
- After filling out the Audition and Volunteer forms, you meet the Director and some of the Island Community Theatre staff.
- You will then be paired with one or more other people auditioning and be given a few minutes to read over a scene or section of a scene from the production. We will praise you. Don't believe a word. You're doomed.
- Next, each of the auditioning groups will be asked to read the parts they were assigned. You may be asked to read with your partner in front of the director or everyone may be asked into the audition room at the same time to drink the Kool Aid.
- Brace yourself. Especially if you don't know your history.
- Quite often, each person auditioning will be asked to go through this process with several different partners during the audition period. Dating, quite often, ensues.
| Rehearsals & Performances |
- Rehearsals are normally held from 7pm to 10:30pm Monday through Thursday starting immediately after auditions and lasting until opening night.
- Please make note of any potential conflicts you may have during the normal rehearsal schedule and note them on your audition form.
- You must not have any conflicts with any of the performance and cast call times.
- Performances for ICT productions are normally scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and Sunday at 1:30pm. Cast call for performances is 1 hour prior to the performance time.
