"FREAKY, FUNNY and FETISH-Y!" "Wacky, weird and worthy." "HOWLINGLY HICKMAN-ISH!" "Alliteratively articulated, and all awesome actors are always alive!"
In this send-up of the old Universal monster movies, Baron Victor von Frankenstein tries, against all odds to perfect his “creation”. Unfortunately his only “success” to date is a mute monster who can double as a lamp.
Adding to his misery is his inept assistant Igor, a terrifying German housekeeper, and his wife who is tired of the gloom and constant rain.
To make matters worse, an odd assortment of “guests” arrive at his castle to remove their various curses – Count Dracula and his beautiful-but-bored vampire fiance, the Wolfman, and the Phantom of the Opera.
This ridiculously horrific comedy is sure to be more treat than trick. Written by Martin Downing

Calling all classic Halloween characters
"The House of Frankenstein" auditions Wednesday, July 30th at 7pm Sunday, August 3rd at 5pm Your House of Frankenstein director is Stephanie Moffett. Stephanie was seen this past season as the hysterical maid Marie in Harold and Maude. As if stage managing isn't enough responsibility, she also assumed several roles in The Graduate. Chances are you've seen her perform at the Bay Area Renaissance Festivals or doing street theater as a pirate. Stephanie is precise yet loose, funny and commanding. You'll love working with her. Mad props.
An ICT "exclusive, world premiere, ain't it cool?" first: Tootsie: The Play Tootsie: an actor's dream role. Or roles. There are so many classic scenes in the 1982 Sidney Pollock film "Tootsie" that it would be tough for an actor to not accept playing any of the characters.
Guess what? Welcome to the 11th season of Island Community Theatre, where "Tootsie" is now a stage play.
Granted the exclusive rights for Tootsie: The Play, ICT Executive Producer Grant Rhinehart (Harold in last season's ICT production of Harold & Maude) brings Elaine Cloud Goller's adaptation of the Larry Gelbart and Murray Schisgal screenplay to the Catherine Hickman stage for three weekends beginning February 5th, 2009.
Auditions for Tootsie : The Play will be announced soon. Cool "vegetable scene" from Tootsie with Michael Dorsey and George, Michael's agent
